Frequently Asked Questions

  • A curly cut is a blend of precision and artistry. Most curly cuts are done on dry hair so we can see your natural curl pattern in action. Cutting dry also helps prevent unwanted shrinkage and heaviness, ensuring your shape looks amazing when you leave the salon.

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all answer! The best approach depends on your lifestyle and your unique curl type. A great stylist will focus on what works for you—not just what looks good on Instagram. (Hair transformations are fun, but if you only cut your hair once a year and love boxer braids, a dramatic shag might not be the best fit!)

If you’re on day four hair, no stress—we can always do a quick wash and style before your cut. Hair appointments should feel relaxing, not stressful.

  • It depends on your haircut and your curl type. Some cuts are designed to look their best with your natural texture, but if you want versatility—curly and straight—just let us know! We’ll work with you to create a shape that suits both styles whenever possible.

  • Yes! A consultation is required before booking your extension service. This allows us to assess your hair health, discuss your goals, color-match your extensions, and determine which method—nano or weft—is best for you.

  • Extensions are an investment, and proper care keeps them looking their best. Using professional-quality shampoo, conditioner, and styling products ensures your extensions stay soft, tangle-free, and long-lasting. Drugstore products often contain harsh ingredients that can break down the bonds or dry out your extensions.
